Rules and Eligibility


PAMrace Regatta




ORGANIZATION: Federació Catalana de Rem and Club Natació Banyoles. 

DATE: April, 27 and 28, 2019 

VENUE: Banyoles, 17820, Catalunya - Spain.

RACE COURSE:  2000m for Juniors-16, Juniors and Open; 1000m for Masters.


  • Open: born on or before 2000
  • Junior: born on 2001 and 2002
  • Junior-16: born on 2003 and 2004
  • Masters: born on or before 1989

JURY: Catalan Comittee of Umpries. 


The regatta entries are open for clubs and mixed club-crews are also accepted. Athletes can enter as many races as they want. All events are raced as direct finals. The final ranking will be based on the best times scored. Every crew must enter the regatta with their own boat, and every club should take into account the timetable of races in order to organise their boats accordingly.


 The Regatta will take place on Saturday and Sunday. 


The Delegates Meeting will take place on Friday, April 26 at 19:00h at the premises of Club Natació Banyoles.


Entries should be sent to the Catalan Rowing Federations before 12:00h , Friday April, 19 2019 by e-mail (

Full name, passport or DNI number must be included in the entry form. 

Athletes must have their own Rowing Licence up to date to be accepted at the Regatta.


The entry fee is 10€ per athlete. Thus, the total amount per club corresponding to their entries is to be transferred to the following bank account of the Catalan Rowing Federation: ES20 0081 0097 2300 0132 4740.


All participants must be registered members of their own federations and have their insurance updated.


Heats will be drawn electronically based on the number of valid entries received by the Catalan Rowing Federation. Clubs will receive the resulting shedule by e-mail no later than 12:00h Thursday, April 25. 


Clubs should inform the Catalan Rowing Federation well on time of any crew changes. This information should also be submitted at the Delegates Meeting.


The crew uniform and their blades colour should be stated in the registration form.


Every crew should wear the corresponding boat number according to their lane on the boat bow.

The Catalan Rowing Federation will provide these bow numbers at a deposit of 5€ per number.


Coxswains must be of the same age or inferior to the rest of the crew, regardless of sex (women coxswains can cox a male crew and vice-versa).

Coxswains weight is unlimited for Junio-16, 55kg minimum for Juniors and Open Men, and 50kg minimum for the W8+. Maximum dead weight is 10kg. Coxswains weighting will take place in the corresponding area assigned by the organisation between 2h and1 1h prior to the corresponding race.


The Event classification is direct for all entries according to the time scored in each heat, and considering all time scores in all heats of the same event. A general classification per clubs will be stablished in order to identify the club winner of the Clubs Classification, Trofeu Ciutat de Banyoles.



The prizes ceremony shall start just after the last race scheduled for Sunday, about 13:00h. A medal will be awarded to the winner of every event. A rowing Ergometer Concept2 will be awarded to the winners of the following events: 

  • Winner of the Men's Pedro Abreu Trophy, open M8+
  • Winner of the Women's Pedro Abreu Trophy, open W4x
  • Winner of the Ciutat de Banyoles Trophy, to the club scoring more points in all events
  • Winner of the Women Promotion Trophy, to the club scoring more points in all events of the Junior Women category

A 5th Rowing Ergometer shall be Riffled amongst all clubs entering the Regatta which have not been awarded with a Rowing Ergometer in the before mention categories. 


At the Delegates Meeting a Regatta Committee will be appointed, including: 

  • The President of the Catalan Rowing Federation or a substitute appointed by him/her
  • The Regatta Director, the Coordinator General of the Catalan Rowing Federation
  • A member representing Club Natació Banyoles
  • The President of the Jury
  • A Delegate of the clubs amongst the ones at the meeting, chosen at random


According to the current rules, the Organizing Committee will appoint a Regatta Security Chief. His/her tasks, apart from those established by Law, are related on point 5.51 of the ‘Código de Regattas de la FER’.  The Regatta Committee may modify or provide new instructions related to this ‘Código de Regatas’ if it is considered appropriate for any particular reason.

The current National and International Regatta Rules of Rowing, will be applied  except as modified herein.
